Well Just Joey has finally made it to his home for the next 6 weeks. He’ll be at Hay’s Galleria on the Southbank. The nearest tube is London Bridge. There’s a map of where all the elephants are on the Elephant Parade website ‘Download the Route Map’. Just Joey is number 140. For those of you who can’t make it here are a few photos.

  1. Alby Said,

I didn’t make it to Reading as I had hoped so the least I can do is pop into town and say hi to Joey.

  2. Karen Said,

He’s quite something. There are normally a lot of people around him so be patient and enjoy.

  3. Mary Al Naber Said,

Imagine my delight and surprise when I discovered Just Joey at Hays Galleria. This rose was created by my cousin Roger Pawsey of Cants of Colchester. It seemed a happy coincidence that of all the elephants on parade I should find this one quite by chance. He is really beautiful. Congratulations!

Hi Mary, thank you for your kind words. This rose is one of my family’s favourites so please relay my thanks to Roger for creating it. When I recently moved into a new house I ordered fifteen so that I could have an entire flowerbed full of them. As a result I really enjoy photographing and painting them.

  4. Sally Said,

I am Just Joey’s (the rose named after my Mother) daughter and even though working in London missed the oppertunity to visit, such a shame as he looks very special – fingers crossed he sells well in at Auction,,,,still working on trying to get my parents to bid!

  5. Joey Pawsey Said,

    Hi Karen

I am “Just Joey”! My husband, Roger Pawsey of Cants Roses, created this special rose some time ago and named it for me. I has been very popular in England and throughout the world and was name “The Worlds Favourite Rose” a few years back. I am very flattered, and delighted, to have it painted onto such an adorable little elephant. Unfortunately we did not get the chance to go and see him in London as we have only just heard about him from a cousin of Roger’s who was over here visiting from Baltimore! Am now trying to ind out about the auction but I have an awful feeling that we may have missed it!

Hi Joey, I’m so sorry that I haven’t been checking the blog otherwise I would have got back to you sooner. The auction ends tomorrow, Sunday 4th July, at 10.30pm, If you go to ‘Giving Lots’ You can still bid. I was really pleased to see that The London Evening Standard had a picture of Joey on page 3 on Thursday night along with photos of the rich and famous. Hopefully I will get to know who has the final bid. Good luck. Karen

  6. Elfie Said,

I am a close friend of Joey and was with her at Chelsea when the Just Joey was launched. I still believe it is the prettyiest rose ever to go on the market. I love the elephant and only wish I could buy it in the auction as a gift for Joey and Roger to replay them for being the best friends one could wish for, but unfortunately that is not possible. I hope it will be bought by someone who will give it a very good home!.

  7. Gill Said,

I am lucky enough to be a good friend of Joey & Rogers too. The elephant is gorgeous, just like the rose & Joey herself. I hope it is possible to get a smaller version of it, is that likely? I don’t think I could persuade my husband to have the big one in the garden!! Good luck with the sale!!

Gill, small versions of the elephants are available, in various sizes, Selfridges has an in store elephant parade shop and there are several others around London.
