Message for Karen Hollis

Dear Karen,

My name is Annabel Wates. I am already the owner of one of the Elephant Family’s ‘family’ – a beautiful elephant painted by Gemma Cummings, which I successfully ‘adopted’ (bid for into the wee small hours!). His name was Greetings From The Jungle, nicknamed Greetings, and a happy member of our own family – human and other, including: 12 pigs, 12 chickens, two beautiful (large, very furry, gentle) dogs, Uzbekisthani tortoises, two cats, 20+ ducks – of whom two are Russian-style runners, we think, called Max and Maximus, who are self-appointed house guards, and more.

The reason for jotting this to you is because, just this morning, I was able to sponsor Jeffrey the Orchid Tiger, with the help of Georgina, of the Elephant Family; his lifelong prospects are very high-profile, endless love and cuddles, a beautiful sun-dappled outdoor life, and more besides.

I hope you are happy to hear how delighted we are. There is plenty more to tell, but I was just keen to introduce myself and family today (Tim, my husband, and four young children).
