‘Mirage’, a colourful orchid limited edition print

A colourful orchid limited edition print reproduced from a photograph of an original oil painting by Karen Hollis.

“I photograph orchids again and again. They amuse me by the way the flowers seem to dance, either seperately or lined up together in rows like irish dancers. I love to capture the way the light falls over the petals creating different shapes and shadows. When I paint them I like to add colours to their white petals to give them their own identity, hence, Mirage was given warmth and richness and the strange hidden view of the orchid flower below.” Karen Hollis

This bright and modern painting of a butterfly orchid contrasts these two warm colours, red and purple with the heart of the flower picked out in a golden yellow. This colourful orchid limited edition print would make a bright and cheerful addition to any home. This is a flower picture that will make you smile day after day.

Hollis specialises in bright, bold floral paintings that are flooded with light. Her pictures of flowers capture the viewer and draw them in. A statement piece for any wall.
