‘Almandine’, a pink rose limited edition print

This limited edition print has been reproduced from a photograph of an original oil painting by Karen Hollis.

“The inspiration behind this oil painting was to capture the brightness and energy that came from the way the light hit the pink rose revealing the yellow hidden at it’s core. It seemed to rise out of the canvas as I added more layers. The variance in the tones from light pinks to deep purples and magentas adds other shapes that give the rose a lively energy. I look at it and feel it’s boldness and strength.” Karen Hollis

Hollis specialises in bright, bold floral paintings that are flooded with light. Her pictures of flowers capture the viewer and draw them in. A statement piece for any wall.
