‘Cocoon’, the heart of a peony limited edition print

This peony limited edition print was created from an original painting by Karen Hollis.

“These 'Festiva Maxima' peonies are amazing when they start to open and reveal their tiny flecks of maroon. I was lucky enough to have several shrubs that allowed me different views of the flower heads opening. I was captivated by the different shapes and colours that were revealed. This peony unraveled slowly and gently creating a sense of shelter. Curled over the stamens. Protecting the very heart of the flower. The unexpected colour trimming the folds and giving a touch of decoration.” Karen Hollis

Hollis specialises in bright, bold floral paintings that are flooded with light. Her pictures of flowers capture the viewer and draw them in. A statement piece for any wall.
