‘Platinum’, a white lily limited edition print

A white lily limited edition print reproduced to the highest standard from a photograph of an original oil painting by Karen Hollis. This lily sits on a strong purple background which brings out the statuesque quality of the flower.

“When I started this painting I was inspired by the waxy look of the lily. It made me think of marble or alabaster so I wanted to create something that had that same feeling of being ‘statuesque’. I love the way the light and shade enhance the marble-like qualities. The rich purple background adds to the contrast making the white petals feel cold. The stamens add a small touch of warmth.” Karen Hollis

Hollis specialises in bright, bold floral paintings that are flooded with light. Her pictures of flowers capture the viewer and draw them in. A statement piece for any wall.
